At the begining of the story we see how Mcbeth is very loyal to the king Dunkin. He has an important role in the town and is awarded Duke. He is also humble about his acomplishments and loyalty to the king. When Lady Mcbeh tried to convince Mcbeth to kill Dunkin he had doubts and was a coward. He said that he wanted to be a respectable man, and by killing Dunkin he was afraid of becoming unethical and hated. So this shows that Mcbeth wasn't a confident man.Imedietly after Mcbeth killed Dunkin,he is scared, shocked, and felt guilty about what he did. But we see that later on Mcbeth's confidence grows and he is in control. He kills more people than his wife expected him to, which showed that he was taking the plan into his own hand.

Mcbeth's character is similar to Brook Davis in the Show One Tree Hill. Brook owned her own company with the help of her mother. She wasn't confident in succseeding without her mohter's guidence and support but after she takes the risk of firing her mother, her insecurity and doubts vanished. She became more confident and took the company into her own hands. After the risk that she took with firing her mother, it brought out a side of her that she thought she never had.
